RIF Funding for International Students 2023 Scholarship At Mudd College
Each year, the Department of Mathematics puts together applications for the RIF Scholarship. Up to three incoming Harvey Mudd students with high mathematical talent may apply for this one-year, non-renewable package. The package amounts change year, with a $1,000 minimum scholarship amount.
You don’t have to be a math major to be considered for the scholarship, and it is not given based on financial need. The application process is open to students from abroad.

Eligibility:
International students who are enrolled at Harvey Mudd College and non-citizens who reside in the United States are required to apply.
The required cumulative grade point average for applicants is 2.75.
Candidates must present outstanding academic achievement.
Candidates must show they are fluent in English. Any of the ways listed below can be used to prove your 1,2 English proficiency:
only the 160-point version of the Duolingo English Test (DET), with a minimum score of 120
iBT Home Edition or iBT Paper Edition of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), with a minimum score of 100.
System for International English Language Testing (IELTS) academics: 7.5 minimum score
A minimum score of 190 for C1 Advanced or 200 for C2 Proficiency in Cambridge English is required.
How to Use: The Coalition Application Portal or the Common Application Portal must be used by applicants to submit their admissions applications online. At HMC, every first-year applicant will be taken into consideration automatically.
