The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana is a partnership between KNUST and the Mastercard Foundation, headquartered in Toronto Canada, to train altogether 2,250 scholars over an aggregated 15-year period of 750 Scholars in Phase I – 2014-2019 and 1,500 Scholars in Phase II – 2019-2029) to contribute significantly to societal change and the transformation of Africa.

Mastercard Foundation Scholarship at KNUST Details:
Mastercard Foundation Scholarship at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) provides access to quality education to qualified academically talented yet economically disadvantaged young people in deprived communities of Ghana and Africa and empowers them to give back to the community.
Eligibility Requirements for the 2024 Mastercard Foundation Scholarship at KNUST:
To be considered for the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship at KNUST:
- All Applicants and prospective candidates must have in their possession, a genuine and valid WASSCE or GBCE ABCE or GCE O Level and A Level or their equivalent results from an accredited/recognized institution. Applicant’s results must not be more than five years old. NO AWAITING RESULTS candidate will be processed for the scholarship.
- The candidates must further meet KNUST’s Admission Requirements
- The Applicant must demonstrate that he/she has Critical Economic Needs.
- The Applicant must have Proven Records of Leadership and Community Engagement(s).
- Priority shall be given to;
- Females
- Displaced Persons (Certified Refugees, Internally Displaced Persons, and the like)
- Persons living with Disability
- The Applicant must be prepared to go back and give back to his or her Community.
- The Applicant must NOT be enrolled in any tertiary institution.
